Foundations Level

Foundations B

Tuesdays, Apr 1st - May 6th

This is where you begin! Lindy hop is a Black American social dance from the 1930s that’s done all over the world today. Foundations is perfect for you if you’re brand new to lindy hop, have done other types of swing dancing, or want to review the foundational patterns and concepts of the dance.

Building Blocks Level

move like you mean it!

Tuesdays, Apr 1st - May 6th

In this session, we’re diving into the fun, flashy, and just plain useful moves that don’t make it into a beginner session but are essential for expanding your lindy hop vocabulary.

From slick turns to stylish surprises, you’ll walk away with new tools to spice up your social dancing and keep the fun going. Explore, experiment, and add some new favorites to your dancing!

**New** Intensive

The Art of Unexpected Connection

Sundays, March 9th, 16th, & 23rd

2.5 hour, 3 week intensive sessions (7.5 hours of total instruction)

We talk about connection in lindy hop all the time, but what about different types of connection? This intensive will explore connections outside our typical “leader’s left, follower’s right” handhold. Get ready to explore creative ways to connect to your partner using different parts of your body!

Through fun exercises and moves, you’ll discover how to adapt, respond, and embrace unexpected connections in your lindy hop. Whether it’s an accidental break in connection or an intentional choice, you’ll leave this intensive with a toolbox of new ways to stay connected and keep the dance flowing.

Building Blocks

You've completed both Foundations sessions with us or you've been dancing lindy hop for at least 4 months already.

You're familiar with basic moves like swing outs, tuck turns, and promenades and you're ready to take them to the next level. If you're unsure if you're ready for this level, send us an email and we'll help you figure it out! We can generally suggest the appropriate level by dancing with you.
